Tanigue and Shrimp Sinigang
A classic sour soup in the Philippines rich in vegetables and proteins. Good for the cold and rainy days as comfort food.
This meal could be eaten at any time of the day but we prefer to have this meal for breakfast. It doesn’t matter if the weather is hot, this soup makes you welcome the asim kilig that warms both your heart and your stomach.
My mom likes to make this type of sinigang so everyone can enjoy it. I really like shrimp but my brother doesn’t so to maximize this dish without cooking for another meal is this sinigang. When this dish is served expect me to eat more rice than usual because it's that good.
